Rejuvenating the Body and Mind
Bathing in onsen (which means ‘hot spring’ in Japanese) is intrinsic to Japanese culture, and is one of the country’s oldest traditions. The word ‘onsen’ is also used as a suffix in the names of Japanese towns to denote the presence of hot springs.
Hot springs are fed by geothermal waters, and Kaga’s are believed to have several healing properties. The idyllic onsen towns of Yamanaka, Yamashiro and Katayamazu Onsen offer visitors the chance to relax in the rejuvenating waters, in beautiful surroundings.
