Q. 2. What is the most attractive point in Kaga?

2. Kaga is a great place where you can enjoy onsen, hot spring, which loved by local people. We have three Onsen towns in Kaga City area, and you can try soyu public bath in each town. Besides, you can see two graceful Japanese traditional crafts, Kutani-yaki porcelain and Yamanaka lacquerware.

Q. 3. I have a tattoo on my body, can I take a bath at a public bathhouse?

3. It was used to be unallowed to people who have tattoos on their body, however, many public bathhouses start to accept overseas tourists with tattoos. A tattoo seal makes you more comfortable when you take a bath at the public bathhouse.

Q. 4. How many days should I plan to visit Kaga?

4. We recommend staying for two days and one night. You can stay one night at traditional Japanese onsen ryokan at Yamanaka Onsen or Yamashiro Onsen or Katayamazu Onsen. Before you check-in, you can take a stroll to a look around towns where Japanese renowned traditional crafts have been preserved by local people.

Q. 5. Which way is the most convenient for looking around Kaga City area?

5. We have CANBUS loop bus for visiting the area of Kaga, however, renting a car makes it easier to explore various places in Kaga. You can find car rental shops near JR Kaga Onsen station. It is also possible to rent bicycles, most of the hotels propose the service and some facilities such as Daishoji Information Centre.

Located in the JR Kaga Onsen Station, the Kaga City Tourist Information Centre Kaga Tabimachi Net is the central hub for tourist information in Kaga Onsen. You can find a variety of information materials (brochures, maps), a free mobile phone charging service (max. 30min.), and other services (copy and fax, free umbrella rental service). Asisstance with tourist guides outside the three hot springs (no one who speaks foreign languages is available). When you arrive at Kaga Onsen Station, feel free to come at the tourist information.

Yamanaka Onsen Tourist Information Centre is located inside the Yamanaka-za Theatre building. It offers a full range of tourist information. Coin Lockers are available on the women's side of the baths, but suitcases cannot fit in them. Bycicle rental and Nuku-Mobi rental services, an electric rental car that can seat 2 people are available. Please stop by at Yamanaka-za, your base for sightseeing in Yamanaka Onsen.

Daishoji Information Centre offers a wide range of information on the history, culture, and sights of Daishoji with the help of volunteer guides. In the facility, there are pamphlets and guide maps of cultural and tourist facilities in Kaga City, Daishoji, and a sightseeing video is shown. Bicycle rental service and baggage storage service are available during opening hours. Guides are available but must be booked in advance. Feel free to visit the facility.
