Popular Spot for Sakura Viewing
Also called Yamashita Shrine, this shrine is incorporated into the Yamanoshita Temples Area in Daishoji. The shrine is known locally for hosting Sakura Matsuri Festival every April, which features portable shrines and shishimai (lion dances) that parade down the streets. Nearby Kumasaka River boasts a cherry-tree-lined path which continues for 1km along the river, making it a popular spot come sakura season.
